Synopsis in English:
Madame Souza raises her grandson Champion and tries to make him happier with a baby dog, Bruno. However, the boy remains sad, and the grandmother gives a tricycle for him. The boy gets excited with the gift, and trained by Madame Souza along the years, he finally competes the Tour de France. When Champion is kidnapped by two MIBs from the French mafia, Madame Souza and Bruno travel to Belleville to rescue him, with the support of the elder singers, the Belleville Sisters.

Madame de Souza offre un jour un vélo à son neveu qu’elle a recueilli. Elle décide de l’entraîner pour en faire un champion. Mais celui-ci, repéré pour ses qualités de vainqueur, va être la proie de la " mafia française " qui l’enlève pour l’envoyer faire des courses virtuelles aux enjeux monétaires dans des casinos clandestins. La tante ne va pas laisser faire et part à la recherche de son neveu. Accompagné de trois vieilles dames, les Triplettes, elle bravera tous les dangers dans Belleville pour récupérer le garçon.

Berthe vient passer quelque temps chez sa fille Emilie. Sans grand enthousiasme. Elle n'apprécie pas son gendre outre mesure, et trouve prétentieuse la maison de ce couple de notaires. Emilie invite son frère Antoine pour Noël, rompant un silence de trois ans entre eux. Antoine, spécialiste du cerveau, célibataire désinvolte et un peu porté sur la bouteille, ne manque pas, au soir du réveillon, de se disputer avec son beau-frère, alors que Berthe souhaite évoquer en famille la question de sa succession

A young woman arrives in Paris where she finds a job as a waitress in bar next on Avenue Montaigne that caters to the surrounding theaters and the wealthy inhabitants of the area. She will meet a pianist, a famous actress and a great art collector, and become acquainted with the "luxurious" world her grandmother has told her about since her childhood.

Une actrice populaire mais rêvant de cinéma intimiste, un pianiste surdoué qui rêve de jouer devant un public ignorant et naïf, un collectionneur qui vend en un soir toute l'oeuvre de sa vie, une jeune provinciale qui tente sa chance à Paris, car sa grand mère lui a dit : "je n'avais pas les moyens de vivre dans le luxe, alors j'ai décidé d'y travailler."
Tous ces personnages et leurs compagnons vont se croiser et se retrouver le temps d'une soirée au Café des Théâtres, où ils viendront soigner leur névrose devant un café ou un "tartare frites".

THE ALLIANCE FRANCAISE DE DALLAS presents the first French Festival of short films in the Metroplex during four days.

On Thursday May 21st, 2009, the following short films will be screened:

1. Le Mozart des pickpockets – The Mozart of pickpockets
De Philippe Pollet-Villard – 30 mn

Philip and Richard live in a petty theft Barbès. They are responsible for a Romanian child, deaf and dumb.
After trying to get rid of them, they attempt to "work". Despite the language barrier, the child eventually finds its own way to thief.

2. Bonne Nuit Malik – Good Night Malik
De Bruno Danan - 15mn

Malik shares the same room as his little brother Bilal. Both seem worried because of their new work: Malik is on trial for a night job, Bilal has to write a poem for school. Portrait of two brothers…

3. Même les Pigeons vont au Paradis – Even the Pigeons go to Heaven
De Samuel Tourneux - 8mn40

A priest conducts a frenzied chase to save a soul in peril.

4. Heureux qui comme Edouard –
De Vincent Burgevin et Frank Lebon – 21mn 15s

Yvan, a young sports writer, is married to one who is very well known - Charlotte.
