“ I've been in (and out) of this Group since July of 2003. I was Host of this Group from fall of '03 to Sept. '04, and Organizer from that weekend of 2004 to early-May of '05. During this time, I met lots of nice, friendly, and educated people from many countries and regions of the world (although few from regions or countries where French is a primary language:( ); some of them became friends, and I enjoyed welcoming nearly all of them to Meetups. After I resigned as Organizer, I have had some tensions with the less-silent partner of the current leadership team of the Group, Monsieur "JD", and I have come VERY close to getting totally tired of the Group. Members still seem to me above-average in kindliness, diversity(finally, we're getting more native-speakers!:) ), and in intelligence. :) Meetups of this Group tend to be in bars and to attract a few dozen attendees. Please note: Newbies: you are never alone (as a newcomer to the Group)(!) ”
