Film français au ciné lumière

Nous vous proposons pour ce meetup une activité et un lieu de rendez-vous un peu différent de notre pub habituel: un film français au ciné lumière (à l'institut français de Londres)

L'idée est de se retrouver vers 17h00 à l'institut français, à South Kensington, pour voir le film La question humaine. Le film commence à 17h30 donc nous aurons le temps de nous retrouver et de nous installer tranquillement. Au delà de 10 personnes nous bénéficieront du tarif de groupe proposé par le cinéma. Le prix du billet revient à £5 par personne avec cette réduction (contre £7 en plein tarif). Voici un synopsis du film: (vu sur le site web de l'institut français)

Simon works as a psychologist working for German multinational in Paris. Simon, played by Mathieu Amalric, is asked to investigate the erratic behavior of the company's CEO, Jüst (Michael Lonsdale). Simon's research leads him into obscure psychic and ultimately historical territories. We discover traces of the repressed past that haunt Jüst, a past that then begins to haunt Simon's relationship to the present - and our own.The question in Heartbeat Detector is one of language. A corporate thriller of sorts, set amidst the offices, halls and parties of the managerial class, the film is also a philosophical inquiry into how we inhabit the language we use and how language, in turn, inhabits and uses us.

Nous pourrons boire un verre après le film au "bistrot", le petit bar qui se trouve au rez-de-chaussée de l'institut français, s'ils ont la place pour nous accueillir tous (dépendant du nombre de participants) ou bien dans un des nombreux pubs locaux.

Afin d'assurer une place à tout le monde nous devrons réserver les billets un peu à l'avance. Pour cette raison nous proposons de collecter l'argent des participants aux deux prochains meetups au Penderel's Oak. Nous achèterons autant de billets que de réponses "yes" pour cet évènement. Nous nous fixons comme date limite le 10 mai pour la confirmation du nombre de participants et réserver les places. Nous vous prions donc de répondre avant le 10 mai.

Hello folks!

For this meetup we will be gathering at the Cine Lumiere cinema at the Institut Francais in South Kensington. The movie we propose to see is La question humaine. The screening starts at 5.30pm therefore we think meeting at 5pm gives us ample time to gather everyone and slowly make our way to our seats. If we get a group of 10 people or more, we can get tickets for £5 (instead of the usual £7). See above a synopsis of the film.

After the movie we can make our way to the "bistrot", the bar on the ground floor of the institute, if they have enough room for all of us, or we'll try some of the local pubs.

In order to guarantee everyone a seat in the cinema we will make reservations in advance of the event. For this reason we will be collecting the money at our next meetups at Penderel's Oak. We will buy as many tickets as people who RSVP'ed "yes". Note that we have to set a deadline for buying the tickets and collecting the money, therefore please make sure you reply by the 10th of May.
