The Houston French Language Meeting

This will be the next Meetup for The Houston French Language Meetup Group.

As usual, we will speak only in French, discussing everything and nothing. Our group is pretty casual - There is no set agenda or structure. Everyone in the group is quite friendly and nice. Just stop by and introduce yourself, pull up a chair, and join in. Or, you can just sit there, listening to the conversation in French until you feel comfortable enough to join in - no pressure.

The group is easily spotted (listen for people speaking in French!) -- If the weather is nice, we are often sitting outside.

Note: This French conversation group has been meeting regularly since 1997 (I've been attending the group regularly since 2003). - Though, the group hasn't always been announced on the French language meet-up site.

We usually have in excess of 30 people each Wednesday meeting. Sometimes, we number around 40 or so people, and a few times, I've counted as many as 50 people.

The only cardinal rule as to this group is that ONLY French is to be spoken. If you are caught speaking any other language other than French at a Wednesday meet-up, please don't be surprised if the other members scold you, "fine" you, or ask you to leave.

Don't worry if your French is a little rusty - it comes back quickly.
