Opportunity to host a French student!

Greetings/Salut!

My name is Becky Halloran. I'm a DC'er and an avid member of Meetups.com, and I want to share an opportunity to host a French student this summer!!

Compass USA (www.compass-usa.net) is currently looking for enthusiastic host families to provide a home for French students who will be visiting the East Coast this summer. Some students stay for as little as 2-weeks, others stay as long as 6 weeks. The students fill out an extensive application, so we try to set each family up with a student that best fits their own hobbies and lifestyles. Among the students we are currently placing are a 16-yr old boy from the Basque region of France who loves water sports, a 19-yr old girl from Brittany who likes art and traveling and plays piano, and a 16-yr old girl from the Paris area who likes studying languages and playing guitar.

All of the students speak an intermediate level of English and are generally between 12-20 yrs old. They are all very excited to visit the US (some for the first time) and look forward to meeting a new family and making American friends.
