Chers membres,

Dear members,

Our usual guide Veronique will show us the Marylebone area this time (she will have prepared this visit on our request!). You will see that Marylebone is very fashionable with its clubs, designer shops ... all this coexisting with an architecture dating from the 18th century. Private practice often stands next to houses of famous people such as Madonna, Noel Gallagher...but before them, the blue stocking used to gather in this area.

We will have a drink in a pub in this area after the visit.
If you want to join us, please pay £5 if you own a membership card or £7,50 if you don’t to enable us to cover the cost of the guide. The group is limited to 30 people. You can pay in cash just before the tour or at one of LFM's next events. And please be on time! (6.45 pm)

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions on this event.

This time, our French guide, will show us round the Bloomsbury area of London. We will visit the buildings of the University of London, the British Library and the British museum and other places of typical Georgian architecture. To finish, we shall go for a swift half in a pub near to the British Museum.
The cost will be £5 for those who have a membership card and £7.50 for those that don't. Payment will be on the night or at the start of the walk. Places are limited to 30 so please be on time (6.45pm).

MESRINE: PUBLIC ENEMY NO 1 (L'Ennemi Public No 1) de Jean-Francois Richet avec Ludivine Sagnier, Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Cassel

Following his outlandish criminal exploits and eventual imprisonment overseas, Mesrine is back on French soil and in police custody facing charges for a long list of illegal activities. But after kidnapping the judge and fleeing the courtroom during his trial, the audacious gangster goes on the run and is named public enemy number one.
However, Commander Broussard (Olivier Gourmet) is on his tail, doggedly tracking the villain until he finally puts him back behind bars. It's here that Mesrine reinvents himself as a superstar criminal, penning an autobiography and becoming a household name. Of course, it's not long before he's up to his old tricks again, escaping prison, committing increasingly outrageous crimes and garnering column inches. But time is running out for the infamous felon as Broussard closes in for the final, bloody confrontation.
In French and English with English subtitles.
