Hoping to discover more of Paris and its many cafes, restaurants, bars and events?

All ages, all nationalities, any level of French - you have found your group!

Welcome to The Paris French Language Group! We are all francofiles (love the French language and culture, however different and difficult it may be!) or we are francophones - who are wanting to meet up with international people and have a chat in French. Of course French is the preferred language - but rest assured English is also spoken, and a few other languages!

It is FREE to join our group, so what are you waiting for, we expect to see you at our next meet up! Feel free to bring along any friends or family. Join up and pop your photo in if possible so we know who to look out for.

We keep you updated via email of all of our upcoming events. It really helps when booking a venue if we can get accurate RSVPs so please let us know either way! It only makes a better evening and venue for all of you!

So no matter if the only French word you know is "bonjour" or you know enough words to chat all night... you will have a brilliant time and we look forward to meeting you!

Bonjour Cath, pourquoi es tu intéressée par les groupes"Paris French Language Meetup'".

-"Je travaille dans une société Américaine à Paris, j'utilise donc l'anglais tous les jours et je trouve enrichissant d'élargir son cercle d'amis avec des personnes de cultures différentes, on a tellement à apprendre des autres"


-"Mes motivations en rejoignant le groupe sont aussi de faire partager la culture française aux étrangers de passage dans la capitale pour leurs permettre de mieux connaître notre culture et avoir de bons conseils ( sorties, traditions, etc.")


-"J'ai toujours été attiré par les cultures différentes de la mienne et même si aujourd'hui, je n'ai pas l'occasion de voyager beaucoup dans le monde, je profite de "Paris French Language Meetup"pour faire le tour du monde à Paris!"

INTERVIEW WITH ONE OF OUR NEWEST MEMBERS; CATHERINE...

Catherine is one of our newest French members. I took the chance to ask her a couple of questions about joining the group - here is what she had to say about why she is happy to be a member:

"I work for an American firm in Paris, so I use English on a day to day basis. I find that it enriches my life as it has widened my circle of friends to include friends with all different cultures. We can learn so much from others."


"My motivations on joining the group are also to share my French culture with foreigners, so that they can better understand our culture. I also can give good advice on our traditions, and places to go and things to do here in Paris."


"I have always been attracted to other cultures different from my own - and at this stage in my life - I have not had the chance to travel the world, so I make the most of the French Language meetup group to do a round the world trip while in Paris!"
