What is this activity:
This activity is on the subject of ART. The form will be similar to that of Dougie's Cercle Literaire (book group) except the subject of the get together will be an art exhibition.
As you have probably noticed there are many galleries in Edinburgh which frequently have special exhibitions on a variety of themes. This activity intends to make the most of how close we all are in Edinburgh to this.
The idea is that we all go and see a given exhibition at some point before the meetup and then all get together to discuss what we thought of it, what impact it had on us and anything else related.
Before the meet up I'll try to think of a couple of discussion points to get the discussion going.
Then we discuss which of any up coming exhibitions we want to be the subject of the next meeting.
How is this related to French?
The discussion will be in French (like for the bookgroup) and where possible we'll try to pick exhibitions with some link to France or French
So when's the first meeting:
As peoples calendars are usually plenty full enough in the lead up to Chrismas the 1st meeting will be in on the 20th of January at 5 pm
Where will the meeting be:
How about Hector's in Stockbridge? Other suggestions very welcome.

The exhibition will (unless anyone has any major objections) the exhibition of the work of Joan Eardley on until the 13th of January at the RSA (part of the National Gallery complex).

"My French is not quite good enough for this event but I enjoyed being there , listening, and occasionally trying to say something. Because of the music I had trouble hearing what was said. Had there been more of us it would have been harder still, but the discussion was interesting. Quieter surroundingas would have made all the difference for me, but I would like to persevere if that's ok."
